EVERETT-REVERE/CHAMBLY CANADIAN EXCHANGE PROGRAM
Notice to all Participants
Departure date: Friday, March 26, 2010 9:00 a.m. SHARP
Bus Travel Information:
The bus will depart from Stop & Shop, Squire Road,(Showcase Cinemas) parking lot adjacent to the rear of the Squire Club at 9:00 a.m. Please be at the parking lot no later than 8:30 a.m. so that we may load hockey bags and luggage onto the buses. Please look for the coach buses before parking. Cars may be left for the weekend, at your own risk.
Please make sure that all player bags and hockey bags are placed in the designated areas on the bus. We will have assistance available to help load luggage.
A list of passengers for each bus will be posted at the entrance of each bus so, PLEASE proceed onto the correct bus. We will stop at White River Junction for 30 minutes and will do the same on our return trip on Sunday, March 28th. The last bus will depart from the hotel at 12:00 noon. Please be on time and allow ample time to load your luggage. Please make sure that you are checked-out of your room and all charges paid. ERYH will charge an extra fee of $50.00 plus incidentals for any unpaid balances. Travelers: Please have your Border Crossing papers in order. Birth Certificate and Drivers License or your valid passport. NOTE: ALL IDENTIFICATION WILL BE CHECKED PRIOR TO BOARDING THE BUS, NO ONE WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE BUS WITHOUT PROPER BORDER PAPERS. PASSPORTS OR PASSPORT CARDS ARE NEEDED FOR THE YEAR 2010. Note: Single traveling parents, with children or friends must have a spousal/guardian permission letter specifying permission has been given to you as the primary contact. Individuals responsible for children (other than their own) must also have permission letters, in addition to proper border crossing documents. Please make sure you have medical treatment letters. A permission slip is attached.
Driving Instructions:
If you are driving or flying to Canada, I have enclosed directions and parking information. We have been asked by the Chambly Hockey Exchange Board to meet no later than 4:30 p.m. at the Ice Arena. At that time, we will then meet our representative and follow them to the Exchange location.

NOTE: If you are being hosted by a family in Canada, it is customary to present the host family in Canada with a token or gift of appreciation along with a token for your host hockey player.
Miscellaneous
As usual, they will have a BBQ in their rink parking lot. Note that, on the Saturday schedules, the times include the player presentations, the anthems, and the official face-off with Board officials, our sponsors & dignitaries up to the Bantam game. A special Half & Half event (5 min approx) will take place after each game, for everyone who has purchased a ticket. Sunday morning, we will have a breakfast / brunch like last year (Eggs, bacon, sausage etc.) in the arena lobby, again, at no charge of course. Everyone is welcome!

Revere/Chambly Canadian Exchange
NOTE: For parents who are driving to Montreal, it is MANDATORY for all passengers in the vehicle to wear seat belts, both front and back seats.
Directions from Boston to Canadian Border and to Ice Arena:
Take Route 93 North to Route 89 North. Follow this until you reach the Highgate Springs Border, once you pass Customs, you will follow Route 133 North which will turn into Route 35 North at St.-Jean sur Richelieu (approximately ½ hour). Proceed past St.-Jean sur Richelieu, you will arrive at AutoRoute 10. Proceed over the overpass. DO NOT take exit to go towards Montreal. Watch for Boulevard Champlain (immediately after the turn-off for Montreal), turn right onto Boulevard Champlain and follow to the end. Turn left at the Stop Sign, (road will end) this is Boulevard Industrielle. Follow Boulevard Industrielle about ¼ mile and look for Boulevard Simard on your right (you will see a small sign indicating the Arena), turn right and follow it to the end where you will see the Ice Arena.
Note: Follow the speed limit (60/km/hr (35 mph) on this road!!!
Directions from the Border to the Hotel: (Marriott’s Chateau Champlain)
Follow the directions above until to arrive at AutoRoute 10. Proceed over the overpass and take the first exit towards Montreal. You are now on AutoRoute 10 West Bound. Follow the signs towards Champlain Bridge (approximately 10 minutes). Once you go over the bridge, keep to your right and follow the signs for AutoRoute 10 / Centre Ville / Bonaventure AutoRoute 10 now becomes University Street. Proceed on University Street and take left onto de la Gauchetiere St. Turn left on Cathedral St (Garage Entrance.) ahead you will see Rue St. Antoine for the valet entrance. Hotel entrance is on Cathedral St. to garage park car. Main Entrance is on de la Gauchetiere.Valet parking is available at an entrance fee per day with in and out privileges. There is garage parking for a fee per day with NO in and out privilege.

From Mansfield Street, turn right onto Rene-Levesque Blvd. and proceed to University Street. Take a right onto University Street and follow towards the Champlain Bridge, cross the bridge and you are on AutoRoute 10 going East Bound. Follow AutoRoute 10 (approximately 15 minutes) until you see the exit for Chambly/St-Jean sur Richelieu. (STAY CHAMBLY) Take this exit which will cross over AutoRoute 10 on the overpass. Right after the over pass and after the turn off for Montreal, take a right onto Rue Patrick Farrar. Follow to the end and turn left at the Stop Sign onto Boulevard Industrielle. Follow Boulevard Industrielle about ¼ mile and look for Boulevard Simard on your right (you will see a small sign indicating the Arena), turn right and follow it to the end where you will see the Ice Arena.

A full breakfast, compliments of the Chambly Committee, will be served
at the ice arena from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Sunday.
This is the only transportation to and from the ice arena if you did not drive. Please allow sufficient time to board the bus, as it will leave on time from both the hotel and the arena. If you miss your bus, it will be your responsibility to find your own transportation to the arena.
For security reasons, only authorized personnel are allowed in the locker room area.
Bus Shuttle for the first two games only on Sunday. Mite and Squirt parents will be able to return to the hotel to pick-up luggage and checkout after the Squirt game. Please do this as quickly as possible as the final bus will depart from the Hotel at 12:15 pm. It will then proceed to the arena to meet up with the second bus and depart for Revere at 1:30 SHARP!
Hotel Check-Out
Please remember to checkout at the hotel Front Desk before you leave for your bus or car. All incidentals, (i.e., phone calls, room service, movie rentals, etc.) should be paid at that time. ERYH will charge an extra fee of $50.00 for an incidentals left on your bill. The bus will be parked at approximately 11:35 p.m. so that you may load your luggage. Please be prompt! We should arrive in Revere at approximately 8:00 p.m.
Miscellaneous
Money exchange may be made at the hotel, also remember if you are driving to get gas before you enter Canada, their prices are extremely high.
